Forex
Forex is the market for currencies. A price such as EURUSD is how many US dollars one euro buys. Traders watch major pairs, the spread, and the sessions when London and New York are open, because that is when many pairs move with more volume.

London is open, the pair holds the session low, and the desk marks a buy with a stop under that low.

Gold is usually traded as XAUUSD, the dollar price of an ounce. It often reacts to the US dollar, interest rates, and moments when investors want a safer asset. The chart is still a chart: you need a level, a reason, and a point where the idea is wrong.
An index such as NAS100 tracks a basket of companies as one price. It can move with company news, the dollar, and the mood of the wider stock market. You are not buying one share here. You are reading the direction of the group.
Crypto, led by Bitcoin, trades through the week and can travel farther in a short time than most currency pairs. The same questions still apply: which session or headline is driving it, how wide the swing is, and how much of an account that swing can touch.
Step 1
Pair, metal, index, or coin. Know the unit of the price and the hours when it is most active.
Step 2
Mark the open, the range, and the news that can change the pace of the day.
Step 3
Decide the loss you can accept before you care about the target. Size follows that number.
